BMW Team RLL Finishes Third and Fourth at Circuit of the Americas; Müller Moves to Second in GT Driver Points

Wood­cliff Lake, N.J. – Sept. 21, 2013 … BMW Team RLL finished third and fourth in today’s inau­gural Amer­ican Le Mans Series race at the Circuit of the Amer­icas. Both BMW Z4 GTE machines ran strongly for the majority of the race, only to fall victim to the top speed advan­tage of the Corvettes and Vipers in the closing stage of the 2.75-hour event.

BMW Team RLL Qualifies on Top at Wet, Slippery Circuit of the Americas; Joey Hand on Pole, John Edwards Fourth

Wood­cliff Lake, N.J. – Sept. 20, 2013 …  Joey Hand, driving the No. 55 BMW Team RLL Z4 GTE, topped the GT class in today’s qual­i­fying session for Saturday’s inau­gural Amer­ican Le Mans Series race at the Circuit of the Amer­icas. The session was held during a slight break in the rain that had been falling the entire day. The BMW Team RLL Z4 GTEs were both shod with Michelin wet-weather racing tires.  Hand’s pole time (2:17.178 minutes) came on his second timed lap of the 3.4-mile, 20-turn circuit and is the third pole for the team this season (Lime Rock Park, Balti­more, COTA). Substi­tuting for Maxime Martin this weekend, Hand will co-drive with long-time team­mate Bill Auberlen.

Indy Lights Title Contender Hawksworth Made An Impressive Debut at Today’s Indy Car Test with RLL at Sebring

SEBRING, Fla. (September 17, 2013) – Fire­stone Indy Lights rookie and title contender Jack Hawksworth, 22, got his first laps in an Indy car today at the 1.65-mile Sebring Inter­na­tional Raceway short course and was as impressed with the Dallara-Honda-Firestone IndyCar Series racing package as the team was with him. He completed 123 laps and set a best lap time that was compa­rable to others who were also testing.

BMW Team RLL – Circuit of the Americas Preview

Wood­cliff Lake, N.J. – Sept. 16, 2013 … BMW Team RLL will face the 3.4-miles and 20 turns of the Circuit of the Amer­icas (COTA), in Austin, Texas, for the first time this weekend in Round 8 of the 2013 Amer­ican Le Mans Series. Completed in 2012, the track is notable for being the current home of the Formula 1 US Grand Prix.

Graham Rahal Pleased With Road Course Test at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

INDIANAPOLIS (September 4, 2013) – Graham Rahal drove the No. 15 blu eCigs Dallara-Honda-Firestone on two config­u­ra­tions of the Indi­anapolis Motor Speedway road course today and was happy for the oppor­tu­nity to drive his Indy car in this historic test.  He completed 44 laps on the course used for the GRAND-AM event and 20 laps in the after­noon on the reverse config­u­ra­tion with the MotoGP loop.
