Andy Priaulx

With three World Touring Car Championship titles and two years in the BMW M3 DTM under his belt, Andy Priaulx is moving on to face a new challenge in 2014. He will line up in the BMW Z4 GTE for BMW Team RLL in the new United SportsCar Championship.

Andy Priaulx’ results at the wheel of BMW racing cars speak for themselves: European Touring Car Champion, triple World Touring Car Champion, winner of the Nürburgring 24 Hours and the 12 Hours of Sebring, and third place at the 24-hour classic in Le Mans. His performances earned him the highest accolade in 2008 when Queen Elizabeth II awarded him an MBE (Member of the British Empire).

Between 2004 and 2007 he was virtually unstoppable in the BMW 320i and its successor the BMW 320si. He was first crowned European Champion in 2004, before winning three back-to-back World Championship titles in the newly-formed FIA World Touring Car Championship.

In 2012 he was part of the BMW Motorsport team that won the Manufacturers’ Championship on BMW’s return to the DTM, claiming the manufacturer’s first points at the season-opener in Hockenheim. After two years in the BMW M3 DTM, Priaulx will now race in the USCC for BMW Team RLL in 2014. This will be something of a reunion, as Priaulx won the GT class at the 12 Hours of Sebring with the team in 2011.
