    Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing

XPEL Grand Prix at Road America

NTT INDYCAR SERIES – Round 9 of 18

    PRACTICE NOTES / QUOTES – Friday, June 19, 2026

SCHUMACHER EIGHTH FASTEST IN PRACTICE 1 OF THE XPEL GRAND PRIX AT ROAD AMERICA; FOSTER 20TH AND RAHAL 22ND

    1) Marcus Armstrong 1:44.2714 / 138.585 mph

    8) Mick Schumacher 1:44.7864 / 137.903 mph

    20) Louis Foster 1:45.2173 / 137.339 mph

    22) Graham Rahal 1:45.2947 / 137.238 mph

GRAHAM RAHAL, No. 15 MSC Industrial Supply Dallara/Honda/Firestone: “The car was diabolical, and I just don’t get it. I’m so confused. Even at the test, we tried so much and yet for the most part, the car just feels the same. It just doesn’t get any better. I’m a little baffled, but we’ll try some more things tomorrow, I guess to see if we can get it to come to life.”

FAST FACTS: Will be his 13th Champ or Indy car race here and 17th overall. He has a best start of fourth place here in 2007 (NHLR) and 2020 (RLL; Race 1) and a best finish of third in 2007 & 2016. In 12 Indy car races here, his highlights include two third place finishes (2007, 2016), a fourth place (2019), sixth (2018), two eighth places (2017, 2022) and 10th (2024). In 2025, Rahal started from sixth place on primary tires. The team had one set of new, faster alternate tires which they used on the second stint. Multiple strategies were at play and Rahal ultimately finished 20th in a race that saw five caution periods. In 2024, he drove to a 10th-place finish from a 24th place start. He started on the alternate tire and planned to take an early caution to switch to the more durable primary tires. That opportunity came after a Lap 1, Turn 1 incident set off by the top three cars, which contributed to other contact through the field, include Ghiotto hitting Rahal and putting him in the gravel. Ghiotto was given an avoidable contact penalty for the action. Once Rahal got back on track, he pitted to replace his damaged tires. After a total of four stops and three caution periods, Rahal took the checkered flag in 10th place and was presented with the Josten’s Biggest Mover award for gaining 14 positions. Other race information is available upon request. Graham has earned three podium finishes in the past six races and hopes to continue that momentum at one of his favorite road courses… He is 11th in the series point standings with a total of 193.

LOUIS FOSTER, No. 45 Droplight Dallara/Honda/Firestone: “Practice was difficult for sure. We started off by trying some race stuff, which, you know, was a good thing to do, but we weren’t quite in the window to start off with. And then when we did end up putting on the reds (alternate tires) and tried to go for some push laps, we weren’t really in the window still. So, yeah, it wasn’t great, but I’ve got faith in the team. We’ll be strong tomorrow.”

FAST FACTS: Foster earned his first series pole in his INDYCAR debut at Road America last year. It came days after he agreed to shave his moustache for a $1000 donation to Racing for Kids on the previous Thursday so many thought gesture led to good luck. In the race, he led the field until he was passed by McLaughlin on a restart on Lap 3. On Lap 9, he was passed by Lundgaard and made the first of three stops during a caution on Lap 11 from third place. Multiple strategies were at play and the fact he had less new alternate tires due to opting to use those in qualifying, factored into the race. He ultimately finished 11th to match his best series finish at the time of 11th place (IMS road). During Foster’s two seasons in the INDY NXT series, his best start and finish at Road America came in 2024 when he started and finished second. He qualified fifth and finished sixth in his rookie season. His best INDYCAR start this season of sixth place came on the IMS road course and he is hoping for another appearance in the Firestone Fast Six on Saturday at Road America… He is 19th in series point standings with 131.

MICK SCHUMACHER, No. 47 ENVE Dallara/Honda/Firestone: “It was a good session. It was nice to actually have a session that ran all the way through. and not interrupted by groups. I think we did a decent job of understanding what direction we wanted to go in with the setup, and I felt like we found a pretty happy medium. Now we’ve just got to analyze what we found today, and hopefully make it better for tomorrow. (On the benefit of testing last week:) It was great. Obviously, a lot of these tracks I am seeing for the first time (on race weekend). So having had the opportunity to come and test here just accelerates the whole process of getting into the weekend. These weekends are not super long, and you’ve got to make every second count that you’re out there, and then I’m sure we did that, especially now that we got the chance to test here last week, we just made sure that we got the best out of it.”

FAST FACTS: It will be his first INDYCAR race at Road America, but a team test here on June 9 helped accelerate his learning curve. He earned his best series finish of 16th place at the previous race at World Wide Technology Raceway and is looking forward to the next two road course races at Road America and Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course to continue his progress during his rookie season. He is ranked 25th in series standings with 89 points.

NEXT UP: Practice 2 will take place from 10:05-10:55 a.m. CT tomorrow and qualifying will begin at 1:05 p.m. CT. Coverage for Sunday’s XPEL Grand Prix of Road America will begin on FOX at 2:00 p.m. ET.

    NEWS & NOTES:

RAHAL LETTERMAN LANIGAN RACING AT ROAD AMERICA

The 2026 XPEL Grand Prix at Road America will mark the 24th time for Rahal Letterman Lanigan (RLL) Racing to compete in an Indy car race here. The team competed in CART and Champ Car-sanctioned races here from 1992-2003 and again since 2016 with a best starting position of pole by Kenny Brack in 2001 and Foster in 2025 and best finish of second place by Bobby Rahal in 1996. The team has earned a total of five podium finishes here (2nd – B. Rahal 1996; 3rd – B. Rahal 1992-1993, Kenny Brack 2000, Graham Rahal 2016).

Prior to 2026, the team prepared a total of 46 Indy car entries for drivers such as Bobby Rahal (1992-1998), Mike Groff (1993-94), Raul Boesel (1995), Bryan Herta (1996-99), Max Papis (1999-2001), Kenny Brack (2000-01), Jimmy Vasser (2002), Michel Jourdain (2002-2003), Graham Rahal (2016-2020; two races in ’20. ’21-24), Takuma Sato (2018-2020; two races in ’20, ‘21), Jack Harvey (’22-23), Christian Lundgaard (’22-24), Pietro Fittipaldi (2024) and Devlin DeFrancesco (’25). The team will enter the No. 15 MSC Industrial Supply Honda for Graham Rahal, the No 45 Droplight Honda for Louis Foster and the No. 47 ENVE Honda to bring that total to 49 in 2026.

GRAHAM RETURNS TO FAMILY FAVORITE ROAD AMERICA

The XPEL Grand Prix at Road America will be Graham Rahal’s 13th Champ or Indy car race here and 17th overall. Graham has earned three podium finishes in the past six races and hopes to continue that momentum at one of his favorite road courses.

“I’m looking forward to going to Road America; it’s a great track and one of my favorites of the whole year. I feel confident after having some good results on some of the road and street courses that we have been to this year. Obviously, the road course performance in particular has been very strong and I expect that to continue at Road America. We had a good test there last week, although we tried some unique things that we will probably back track a little bit on but it was good to check off some theories. Overall, I’m excited to get there and put together a good weekend for the debut of MSC Industrial Supply being the primary sponsor. It’s an iconic track and one that should be a great one for us. It is a place our family has loved going to for decades so were pumped for the weekend.”

FOSTER RETURNS TO THE SITE OF HIS FIRST POLE – AND WHERE HE SHAVED HIS ‘STACHE FOR CHARITY

Foster earned his first series pole in his INDYCAR debut at Road America last year. It came days after he agreed to shave his moustache for a $1000 donation to the Racing for Kids charity on the previous Thursday so many thought the gesture led to good luck. During Foster’s two seasons in the INDY NXT series, his best start and finish at Road America came 2024 when he started and finished second. He qualified fifth and finished sixth in his rookie season. His best INDYCAR start this season of sixth place came on the IMS road course and he is hoping for another appearance in the Firestone Fast Six on Saturday at Road America.

“It was super cool to get pole last year. It was a very special day for me and the team and everyone involved. We’re obviously looking to replicate that. It was definitely one of the highlights last year and definitely something we’re going to try and do again.

“The test went well; the car was back to how it felt last year in qualifying. I was very happy with the ultimate pace of the car and we ended up making those runs short and focusing more on our long run pace since I was so confident with the qualifying car pace. I’m feeling good going into the weekend. I think we have a strong car and it’s just going to come down to executing on the day and making sure we get the car right with the conditions and it all clicks together. It’s a pretty difficult track based on its length, the load that goes on the tires and how low the downforce is. The combination of those three things means that tire wear is difficult. And now with these new tires rules, it’s going to make it more interesting with the extra set of reds we’re going to need to run so we’ve got to make sure we have good tires for the whole stint length. It’s going to be super important. I’m looking forward to it.”

    SCHUMACHER AT ROAD AMERICA

It will be Mick’s first INDYCAR race at Road America, but a team test there on June 9 helped accelerate his learning curve and should allow him to settle in more quickly on race weekend. He earned his best series finish of 16th place at the previous race at World Wide Technology Raceway and is looking forward to the next two road course races at Road America and Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course to continue his progress during his rookie season.

“The Road America test went well. We didn’t get quite as much driving in as we wanted unfortunately but it was good to learn the track and to know where we start before the weekend is a positive. To be able to put everything together already in the first free practice and know where we have to work towards is a benefit.

“Road America is a beautiful racetrack. I love the old school tracks that lay in the countryside more than anything else. Overall, it’s a beautiful race track. It’s such an old-school track that you also don’t see what is ahead like Turn 6 for example. The carousel is a very tough part of the track with this car which moves around a lot and is quite oversteer-y at times. Hopefully, it will be a good track for me. I know how to look after the tires and I think it’s going to be a tire / fuel saving race so the more your inputs are smooth, the better it is for fuel saving but also for tire saving so hopefully that’ll come my way.

“You need to be able to go smoothly through the corners and carry a lot of speed so I think minimum speed is key in these places. It’s weird to think that we’ve only done two road courses so far, but I think Road America has come to me pretty naturally, pretty quickly. I had never seen Barber before and I had never seen Road America before but with the test, things are different now and I think I’ll be able to start off in a really good place for the race and hopefully be on par with everybody else, and if not, be up front with everybody else. I’m looking forward to the race. It’s good to go to a road course that is that beautiful. I’m excited for it.”

NEW PARTNER MSC DEBUTS AS PRIMARY OF THE NO. 15 AT ROAD AMERICA

Announced in April, MSC Industrial Supply Co. will be the primary sponsor of Graham Rahal’s No. 15 entry at the XPEL Grand Prix at Road America. Racing and manufacturing share common objectives: maximizing performance, minimizing inefficiencies, and optimizing results. Whether on the track or in a facility, precision, performance, and continuous improvement matter. Throughout MSC’s 85-year history, the company has helped customers rethink, retool, and improve operational performance with approximately 2.5 million products, inventory management solutions, and supply chain expertise, combined with technical and industry insight.

POINT STANDINGS AFTER 9 OF 18 RACES

Heading into Round 10, Rahal has a total of 193 points and is ranked 11th overall. Foster is 19th with 133 points and Schumacher is 25th with 89.

    FIRESTONE PIT STOP CHALLENGE

The No. 15 crew is only one point out of the lead in the pit stop standings to Scott Dixon’s No. 9 Chip Ganassi Racing crew at 254-253 after 9 of 18 races.

Schumacher Earned Top Series Finish of 16th in the Bommarito Auto Group 500; Foster Finished 20th & Rahal Was Third When He Made Contact in Turn 4

    Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing

Bommarito Automotive Group 500 at World Wide Technology Raceway

    NTT INDYCAR SERIES

    RACE NOTES / QUOTES – June 7, 2026

SCHUMACHER EARNED HIS TOP SERIES FINISH OF 16TH PLACE IN THE BOMMARITO AUTOMOTIVE GROUP 500; FOSTER FINISHED 20TH AND RAHAL WAS THIRD WHEN HE MADE CONTACT IN TURN 4

GRAHAM RAHAL, No. 15 One Cure Dallara/Honda/Firestone: “I just went to the inside, just a hair. Christian went to my outside and I was just trying to keep him behind me. We were going to pit in a few laps, so I did not want to lose that track position, and the inside was dirtier than I expected, and when I turned in, the minute I turned in, she went right around. There is nothing you can do, and it’s a shame, because the rear had been quite good all day long. I felt like I had a good margin. On the starting stint we had a massive amount of understeer, but it had gotten a lot better and so it is super disappointing to have a hit like that.”

FAST FACTS: Rahal started 11th for his 11th race at the track. He had dropped to 18th early on as he settled into the race and worked to improve the handling of his race car from inside the cockpit. The team also made some changes on his first pit stop and he had topped off for fuel on Lap 61 during a caution for Seigel to provide more options later. As another pit cycle was happening, he was running in third place on Lap 112/260 and lost control of his race car and made contact with the Turn 4 wall. He was seen and released by INDYCAR Medical and was scored in 23rd place. His highest start at WWTR is seventh place in 2018, and highest finish is 10th – in 2018 and 2022. In 2025, he started 22nd and reported a loose race car soon after the start. The team attempted to improve it with quick adjustments in the pit stops to no avail. He took the checkered flag in 22nd place… Rahal qualified third on the Phoenix oval this year and finished ninth. And at the Indy 500, he qualified 28th and finished 20th. After three podium finishes in the past six races, Rahal is hoping to pick up the momentum at Road America … Has SIX INDYCAR SERIES wins (2008 – St. Pete street course; 2015 – Fontana Super Speedway, Mid-Ohio road course; 2016 – Texas Super Speedway; 2017 Detroit Race 1, Detroit Race 2) and FIVE poles (2009 – St. Pete street course, Kansas oval; 2017 – Detroit Race 1 street; 2023 – IMS road, Portland road) and his highest series season-ending standing is fourth place in 2015… Rahal dropped from a 9th place rank in series point standings to 11th with a total of 193.

LOUIS FOSTER, No. 45 Droplight Dallara/Honda/Firestone: “We struggled the entire race, we just didn’t have any grip. Plus, we had to manage a hybrid issue and had some contact and had a bent front toe link. Honestly, it was just a day to forget. It was just go out there, survive and keep it out of the wall. On to Road America.”

FAST FACTS: Foster started 17th for his second INDYCAR race here. He struggled with the handling of the race car but the team maximized the opportunity to use the race to improve the set up. Ultimately, he finished 10 laps shy of the 260-race distance after a longer stop near the end of the race to repair damage caused by contact with McLaughlin. He took the checkered flag in 20th place. In 2025, he started 21st and worked his way up to 10th place before he got high in the marbles, lost control of his race car and slid across the track after completing 128/260 laps. Race leader Josef Newgarden had nowhere to go and the two collided with Newgarden going upside down. Both were checked and released from INDYCAR’s Medical Unit. He competed twice at WWTR in the INDY NXT series where he started on pole in 2024 and led all 75 laps en route to victory. In 2023, he qualified fifth and finished second. After matching his best series finish of seventh place in the Sonsio Grand Prix at Detroit on Sunday, he is hoping to continue the strong results. He maintained his 19th place rank in the INDYCAR point standings with a total of 131.

MICK SCHUMACHER, 47 Bommarito Automotive Group / ENVE Dallara/Honda/Firestone: “There were lots of things happening in that race. I’m awfully proud of the job that everybody has done on the No. 47 Bommarito Honda. I think we really showed them what we are made of out there, even overcoming some of the issues that we had, like, the fuel issue. I think there were a lot of things that were playing against us, but we made up for it on the track. It was great to be racing with the big guys out there and still be able to run with them if not faster than them. There is a lot to take away from here, a lot learned, and now we’re going to a road course, which is going to be great.”

FAST FACTS: Mick earned his series best finishing position of 16th place in his first event at WWTR and third oval race overall. The 260-lap race featured two red flag periods due to weather conditions and a total of 60 laps of caution. He overcame a fuel flow issue on his second stop, completed all but one lap as well as was the highest finishing rookie in race that featured 17 lead changes and numerous passes. He tested here on April 23. His highest career INDYCAR start came at his oval racing debut in Phoenix with a fourth-place qualifying effort. In the race, he had been running in the top 11 through his first stint and cycled as high as sixth place on Lap 70 before he made his first stop on Lap 71. A suspected wheel gun failure on the right front tire led to a lengthy stop and he dropped to 22nd when he returned to the track. He soldiered on through two more stops, gained valuable experience and ultimately finished 18th in his oval racing debut. At his second oval race — the Indy 500 – he earned the Fastest Rookie Award after qualifying 27th for his first Indy 500. In the race, he was the highest finishing rookie with an 18th place result in the 33-car field. He gained valuable experience running in the top 10 for a handful of laps with a top running order of fifth place. Near the end of the race, he went a lap down but was able to get back on the lead lap by passing the leader. On the second to last restart, he lightly brushed the wall and continued but it brought out a caution and set up a final one-lap shootout for the win… He is ranked 25th in series point standings with a total of 89.

    FIRESTONE PIT STOP CHALLENGE STANDINGS

The No. 15 crew came into the race in the lead of the pit stop standings with a margin of 253-228 over Team Penske’s crew for Newgarden. As Rahal didn’t finish the race and earn pit stop points, the crew dropped to second place in the standings but only trails by three points to Chip Ganassi Racing’s crew for Dixon, 254-251.

NEXT UP: All three team cars will test at Road America on Tuesday, June 9 in preparation for the XPEL Grand Prix at Road America on June 21. Coverage of the race will be carried live on FOX beginning at 1 pm ET on June 21.

Rahal, Foster and Schumacher to Start 11th, 17th and 18th in the Bommarito Automotive Group 500 on Sunday Night

    Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing

Bommarito Automotive Group 500 at World Wide Technology Raceway

    NTT INDYCAR SERIES

    QUALIFYING NOTES / QUOTES – June 6, 2026

RAHAL, FOSTER AND SCHUMACHER TO START 11TH, 17TH AND 18TH FOR THE BOMMARITO AUTOMOTIVE GROUP 500 ON SUNDAY NIGHT

    POLE: Alex Palou 2-lap avg. speed of 174.353 mph (L1: 25.7195, L2: 25.9000 mph)

    11th: Graham Rahal 2-lap avg. speed of 171.479 mph (L1: 26.2634, L2: 26.2213 mph)

    17th: Louis Foster 2-lap avg. speed of 170.569 mph (L1: 26.3437, L2: 26.4208 mph)

    18th: Mick Schumacher 2-lap avg. speed of 170.290 mph (L1: 26.4258, L2: 26.4252 mph)

GRAHAM RAHAL, No. 15 One Cure Dallara/Honda/Firestone: “It was great run. The boys and girls have done a great job for me. We made a couple of tweaks there going into qualifying and all played out perfectly, and that’s all you can ask for, you know? We don’t have the speed that some of these guys have so we’ve got to play it for what we’ve got. But to do two consistent laps, with the second lap being better than the first, for One Cure, and for every one of our sponsors on this number 15 car, it feels good. That’s a lot stronger than we’ve been here in recent years. Those were our best laps of the weekend. Obviously qualifying should be, but we threw some things at it, so you never really know if it’s going to work and it did and we’ll take it. I think the teams on the right track. We made some good changes today. We didn’t start good, I can tell you that.”

FAST FACTS: This will be Rahal’s 11th race at the track. After three podium finishes in the past five races, Rahal is looking to continue the team’s momentum this weekend… Has SIX INDYCAR SERIES wins (2008 – St. Pete street course; 2015 – Fontana Super Speedway, Mid-Ohio road course; 2016 – Texas Super Speedway; 2017 Detroit Race 1, Detroit Race 2) and FIVE poles (2009 – St. Pete street course, Kansas oval; 2017 – Detroit Race 1 street; 2023 – IMS road, Portland road) and his highest series season-ending standing is fourth place in 2015… Rahal is 9th in series point standings with a total of 186.

LOUIS FOSTER, No. 45 Droplight Dallara/Honda/Firestone: “It was a decent run but I think we had a lot more on the table, really. It wasn’t the cleanest of runs for us. I think the wind was difficult and I just had too much understeer. We trimmed a bit more for qualifying and I was pushing as hard as I could but I just got too much understeer on the exits and had to lift out of it or otherwise, I’d be in the wall. It wasn’t the best we could produce for this qualifying session, but was still pretty quick which shows the big steps forward for the team. But I think generally, so far the season has gone reasonably well. Obviously, we always want to do better and get more, but so far I’m happy with it.”

FAST FACTS: It will be Foster’s second INDYCAR race here. He is ranked 19th in the INDYCAR point standings with a total of 121.

MICK SCHUMACHER, 47 Bommarito Automotive Group / ENVE Dallara/Honda/Firestone: “We had a lot of understeer right from the get go and that wasn’t ideal. I couldn’t carry the speed that I wanted to. Obviously, with the temperatures being hot and stuff that will happen. We made some changes for that, that we hoped would be good enough for the conditions. We were hoping for a little bit more. We came here testing and the was in a great place. I think that with the temperature’s being hotter than I expected, the conditions made the car very understeer-y for us. Tonight we will work to figure out what we need for tomorrow and we’re going to have a good race tomorrow. I think the race will be a great spectacle under the lights. I think it’s up to 90 percent sold out so far, and I hope they will get a couple more. I think we’ll be able to have a good show.”

FAST FACTS: It will be Mick’s first INDYCAR race at WWTR. He tested here on April 23 and is hoping to turn that experience into a strong performance. On the second to last restart, he lightly brushed the wall and continued but it brought out a caution and set up a final one-lap shootout for the win… He is ranked 25th in series point standings with a total of 75.

NEXT UP: FOX will begin live coverage of the 260-lap Bommarito Automotive Group 500 on Sunday beginning at 9 p.m. ET.
