German René Rast is one of the most successful and versatile racing drivers in Europe. René was crowned DTM champion three times, won the 24-hour classics at the Nürburgring and Spa-Francorchamps (2 times). He was also successful in LMP1 and LMP2 prototypes as well as in the all-electric Formula E.
René joined BMW M Motorsport in 2023, and in his first year with the BMW M4 GT3 in DTM he won races straight away. Despite missing one race weekend he finished the season fifth in the driver standings. Since 2012 he has competed at the Rolex24 regularly, finishing on the podium in 2017.
