Woodcliff Lake, N.J. – Oct. 5, 2013 … BMW Team RLL finished fourth and fifth in today’s 2.75-hour American Le Mans Series Oak Tree Grand Prix at Virginia International Raceway. A spirited drive and great battle by Dirk Müller in the No. 56 BMW Z4 GTE during the final minutes of the race secured the fourth-place finish to keep the BMW Motorsport driver second in driver championship point standings, now 16 points behind the leaders. The No. 55 BMW Z4 GTE of Bill Auberlen and Maxime Martin finished fifth.
Woodcliff Lake, N.J. – Oct. 4, 2013 … Maxime Martin made quick work of the classic VIRginia International Raceway by qualifying the No. 55 BMW Team RLL Z4 GTE on the GT class pole for Saturday’s American Le Mans Series Oak Tree Grand Prix. This was the young Belgian’s very first visit to the 3.47-mile, 17-turn circuit in Alton, Virginia. He stopped the watches with a 1:45.978 minute lap on his fourth circuit of the 15-minute qualifying session to set a new GT class qualifying record and score his first ALMS pole.

Both BMW Z4 GTE machines ran strongly for the majority of the race, only to fall victim to the top speed advantage of the Corvettes and Vipers in the closing stage of the 2.75-hour event.
Woodcliff Lake, N.J. – Sept. 20, 2013 … Joey Hand, driving the No. 55 BMW Team RLL Z4 GTE, topped the GT class in today’s qualifying session for Saturday’s inaugural American Le Mans Series race at the Circuit of the Americas. The session was held during a slight break in the rain that had been falling the entire day. The BMW Team RLL Z4 GTEs were both shod with Michelin wet-weather racing tires. Hand’s pole time (2:17.178 minutes) came on his second timed lap of the 3.4-mile, 20-turn circuit and is the third pole for the team this season (Lime Rock Park, Baltimore, COTA). Substituting for Maxime Martin this weekend, Hand will co-drive with long-time teammate Bill Auberlen.
SEBRING, Fla. (September 17, 2013) – Firestone Indy Lights rookie and title contender Jack Hawksworth, 22, got his first laps in an Indy car today at the 1.65-mile Sebring International Raceway short course and was as impressed with the Dallara-Honda-Firestone IndyCar Series racing package as the team was with him. He completed 123 laps and set a best lap time that was comparable to others who were also testing.
