Debut for the BMW Z4 GTE and the Newly Structured BMW Team RLL – Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts on Board as Premium Partner Again in 2013

DAYTONA (US), 12th February 2013. BMW is embarking on a new chapter of its motorsport commitment in North America: after four successful years with the BMW M3 GT, the new BMW Z4 GTE will take over at the head of the manufacturer’s campaign in the 2013 American Le Mans Series (ALMS). On Tuesday, BMW Motorsport and BMW Team RLL presented the car and drivers for the new season at the “Daytona International Speedway” (US).

James Jakes to Join RLL for 2013 IndyCar Series Season; Acorn Stairlifts to Sponsor Entry

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (February 5, 2013) – Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing (RLL) announced today that the team will enter a second full-season program in the 2013 IZOD IndyCar Series for James Jakes, 25.  Acorn Stairlifts, the maker of the number-one selling Stairlift in the world, will sponsor Jakes’ entry.

2011 Winner Mike Conway to Return to the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach with RLL

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (January 28, 2013) – Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing announced today that they will enter a second Honda-Dallara-Firestone race car in the 2013 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach IZOD IndyCar Series race April 19-21, and that 2011 Long Beach race winner Mike Conway will pilot the No. 30 entry. Sponsorship details will be announced at a later date.

BMW Team RLL Returns to 2013 ALMS with New BMW Z4 GTE; New Cars, Drivers and Management to Launch Fifth Season at Sebring

Woodcliff Lake, N.J. – January 14,  2013 . . . BMW of North America and BMW Motorsport today announced that BMW Team RLL will again campaign BMW’s American Le Mans Series entries in 2013. The two car team will do battle with the best of North American GT class sports car racing with the newly designed BMW Z4 GTE starting with the season-opening 12 hours of Sebring on March 16.

Bobby Rahal Included in 2013 SCCA Hall of Fame Class With Fellow Legends Barber, Noble, Shelby and Porterfield

TOPEKA, Kan. (January 8, 2013) – Road Racing legends Skip Barber, Bill Noble, Bobby Rahal, Carroll Shelby, and Andy Porterfield compose the 2013 SCCA Hall of Fame Class for significant contributions to motorsports and the Sports Car Club of America, as announced today by the SCCA. Graham Rahal Completed 205 Laps of Testing Over Three Days at Sebring With RLL

SEBRING, Fla. (December 13, 2012) – Graham Rahal, 23, completed a three-day test with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing (RLL) today at the 1.65-mile Sebring International Raceway short course.  After two days of interrupted testing due to rain, the team was able to complete 105 laps today to bring their three-day total to 205 laps with a best lap time of 53.480.

Graham Rahal Completed 51 Laps on Day 2 of Testing at Sebring Before Rain Brought an Early End to the Test

SEBRING, Fla. (December 12, 2012) – Graham Rahal, 23, completed his second day of testing with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing (RLL) today at the 1.65-mile Sebring International Raceway.  The track was wet from an overnight thunderstorm and morning sprinkles and steadily began to dry near noon. The team began testing in earnest after a lunch break and continued until showers brought an end to the test day at approximately 2:30 p.m. ET after Rahal had completed 51 trouble-free laps with a best lap time of 54.20.

Graham Rahal Completed 49 Trouble-Free Laps in His First Test Day as a Fulltime Driver for RLL Racing

SEBRING, Fla. (December 11, 2012) – Graham Rahal, 23, completed his first day of testing with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing (RLL) today at the 1.65-mile Sebring International Raceway. It was also his first time to drive an RLL-prepared race car on a road course after competing in one event for the team – the 2010 Indianapolis 500.  TBC Retail Group is primary sponsor of the No. 15 Dallara-Honda-Firestone entry while Valvoline is a major associate sponsor.

Veteran Engineer Eddie Jones Joins Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing; Will Work as Race Engineer for Second Indy Car Program

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (December 3, 2012) – Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing (RLL) announced today that Eddie Jones has joined the team as race engineer for the second 2013 IZOD IndyCar Series program the team is working to finalize. Most recently Jones spent over 15 years with Team Green/Andretti Autosport as a race engineer in Indy Lights, Champ Car and the IndyCar Series and moved to KV Racing Technology in 2012 to be Formula One veteran Rubens Barrichello’s race engineer.
