FOSTER 10TH AND SCHUMACHER 13TH IN RACE 2 OF THE SNAP-ON INDYCAR WEEKEND AT THE MILWAUKEE MILE AFTER RUNNING IN THE TOP-FIVE; RAHAL 22ND

GRAHAM RAHAL, No. 15 Luther Automotive Dallara/Honda/Firestone: “I had no pace. And my setup was quite different than my teammates, so I’m going to go that way for the next race — probably more towards Louis’s setup after I see what he thinks. Honestly it was very tough to drive and very hard to predict. On one lap I could gain. I could pull away from the group, and the next lap, I’d be a second slower because I’d get a huge moment, or have a big understeer blowout in Turn 1 and just couldn’t get consistent. Hopefully we can make improvements for the continuation of Race 1.”

• FAST FACTS: He started 19th and finished 22nd…  This marked Graham’s 11th race here. He has earned two front row starts and four top-10 finishes including two podiums (2^nd – 2011; 3^rd – 2015) in his 10 races. He narrowly missed winning his first pole here in 2008 by 2/10th of a second over a four-lap average and started a career best second to Marco Andretti with Newman/Haas/Lanigan Racing (NHLR) in what was the first Andretti/Rahal front row since 1992 in Loudon, NH. In the first of his two podium race in 2011, he qualified 12th and finished second with Service Central/Chip Ganassi Racing (SCCGR). In 2015 with RLL, he qualified sixth, led five laps, and finished third to depart the event third in points with four races to go. Last year, he started 11th and dropped to 14th at the start. When a caution came out at the end of the first lap for Seigel, who crashed, Rahal reported he had no rear grip. When the field went back to green, he lost traction and completed a three-quarter spin which led to the series bringing out another caution. The race resumed and he continued to struggle and ultimately took the checkered flag in 24th place in his 10th race here. LOUIS FOSTER, No. 45 Desnuda Organic Tequila Dallara/Honda/Firestone: “Everything comes in steps and we haven’t even sniffed a top 10 my entire career on ovals, apart from our first Indy 500. Progress is progress, we moved forward. Bluntly, the car wasn’t as good as it was yesterday. We struggled with balance all day and we need to figure out why. Hopefully in the next three hours before the next one. All in all decent, but obviously we want to push for more. I’m disappointed we couldn’t hold positions there. Disappointed that the other drivers were able to find grip where I wasn’t so it’s a bit bittersweet, to be honest. I feel like we deserved more than that. We drove pretty hard out there, and the guys gave us great pit stops, and I felt like there was more on the table for us, but that being said, it’s our first top 10 so I can’t be too mad. We’ll try to go a bit higher up this afternoon.”

• FAST FACTS: He started sixth, which was his top oval starting position, and ran in the top five the majority of the first half of the race. For the second half, he ran in the top-10 the majority of it to earn a career best oval finish of 10th place. His previous best was 12th at the 2025 Indy 500… Foster made his second INDYCAR start at the Milwaukee Mile. Last year he only ran approx. 1/2 of a lap in the morning practice session before being called into the pits due to data from the engine monitoring systems, which ultimately resulted in his engine being changed. When he made his qualifying run, it was the first full lap he completed at speed. He was given a 9-position grid penalty for an unapproved engine change and started 27th (last in the field) after qualifying 22nd^.and steadily moved up in the field to ultimately finish 17th. He earned his top oval start today with. He maintained his 20th place rank in series point standings with 232.

MICK SCHUMACHER, No. 47 ENVE Dallara/Honda/Firestone: “There are a couple of things we’ve got to work on. We’ve got to identify why it ended up going rearward so much, especially on the restarts. Overall, I think it was a pretty tough day out there; it was really gusty. The wind was moving around a lot an the car was really inconsistent. It was super hard to predict what was going to happen. For this afternoon, we’ll have to see what happens. Weatherwise, it’s unclear right now, but hopefully we’ll get another chance to try it out.”

• FAST FACTS: Mick qualified 4th for Race 2 to match his best series oval start in his debut at Phoenix. In the race, he ran in the top-five for the first 50/250 laps and then ran in the top-10 through this third stop and ultimately finished 13th…The doubleheader will mark Schumacher’s fifth and sixth oval races of his career. His experience and comfort has steadily increased each time he is on track. He matched his best start of fourth place in his oval debut in Phoenix and his best finish is 8th place at the previous oval race in Nashville. He moved up one place in the point standings to 23rd with 187 points. 

RLL AT MILWAUKEE: The team WON here twice (Kenny Brack 2001 & Michel Jourdain Jr. 2003), started from POLE three times (Bobby Rahal 1992, Kenny Brack 2001, Vitor Meira 2004), made four FRONT ROW STARTS (2nd – Jourdain Jr. 2003) and earned FOUR PODIUMS (2nd: Rahal 2004, Rice 2004; G. Rahal 2015).  The team has earned 11 top five finishes and 22 top-10’s at the track, including today’s top-10 by Foster.

NEXT UP: The series will complete Race 1 in a few hours after running 90 of 250 laps yesterday before wet conditions postponed the race. The continuation will be televised live on FS1 beginning at 6 p.m. ET tonight.
