1) Markus Ericsson 229.607 mph
12) Graham Rahal 226.973 mph
21) Jack Harvey 225.971 mph
27) Christian Lundgaard 225.170 mph
34) Katherine Legge 223.934 mph
GRAHAM RAHAL, No. 15 United Rentals Dallara/Honda/Firestone: “We finished on a really-high note there, and I know track time cools a little bit, but to be honest we ran with the Andretti cars at the end and ran with a lot of good guys and were able to kind of work our way through the pack. I was pleased with that. Even on the 20-lap run, we were still able to get to the front so she’s starting to speak my language. I’m not sure we’re 100 percent there yet but it was a decent day. Of our cars, Katherine has the quickest car. I’m going to hope that overnight the drag gods give us something on the 15 United Rentals machine. The balance is good though.”
JACK HARVEY, No. 30 PeopleReady Dallara/Honda/Firestone: “I think happy hour is always fun running when you see that many cars on track and I think we started out a bit free and then were able to get it under control. Once we got that under control, it was a lot better and I think we ended okay. Another positive day for the No. 30 PeopleReady Honda.
KATHERINE LEGGE, No. 44 Hendrickson Dallara/Honda/Firestone: “It was a successful day up until the point we put the race setup on and then we realized that we’ve got some work to do. It wasn’t very comfortable but its better now and we can work on it for the next few days.”
CHRISTIAN LUNDGAARD, No. 45 Hy-Vee Dallara/Honda/Firestone: “We started the day out doing some qualifying trims and I think we definitely made some progress. Overall, I think its been a positive day even though we might not be the fastest car out there, we are making progress, which is what we need to do. We’ve kept our head down and focused on our plan and its been positive.”
